Jaipur Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Jaipur
Start your trip early in the morning from Delhi. It takes 5 to 6 hours to drive to Jaipur depending on traffic and road conditions. If you want to get there early, you can book a train or flight instead of driving. When you reach Jaipur, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds). It is a beautiful five-story building with 953 small windows that were built so that the royal ladies could watch events on the street without being noticed. In the evening, go shopping at one of the nearby markets like Johri Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar. These are great places to buy jewellery, clothes, and other Rajasthani items.
Day 2: Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and Nahargarh Fort
On the second day, visit the Amer Fort located outside Jaipur. This magnificent fort has beautiful buildings, lush gardens and spectacular views of the surrounding area. You can explore different rooms and gardens like the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace). After that, visit the Jaigarh Fort, which is famous for its huge Jaiwana cannon. It also offers beautiful views of the city. The Nahargarh Fort is located on the Aravalli Hills and is a great place to end the day. You can see the entire view of Jaipur from the fort and it is a great place to watch the sunset.
Day 3: City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Birla Mandir
On the third day, first thing in the morning, visit the City Palace. This is where the royal family of Jaipur lives. The palace’s courtyards, museums, and beautifully decorated rooms are a blend of Mughal and Rajput styles. Next, visit Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a telescope for stargazing. The place has 19 architectural astronomical instruments, including the world’s largest stone sundial. After that, visit the Birla Mandir, a beautiful temple made of white marble dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi. In the evening, visit a traditional Rajasthani restaurant to eat some food from the area.
Day 4: Albert Hall Museum and Return to Delhi
Today is your last day, so visit the Albert Hall Museum. It is a great example of Indo-Saracenic building. It displays many items of art, and crafts and the royal history of Rajasthan.
