Jaipur Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Journey from Delhi to Jaipur
Get up early in the morning and drive or take a train to Jaipur. If there is traffic, it takes five to six hours to reach Jaipur from Delhi. When you reach Jaipur, the first thing you should do is see the beautiful Hawa Mahal. See the beautiful windows that were made so that the royal ladies could watch the activities on the street without being noticed.
Next, visit the City Palace, which houses museums displaying clothing, weapons, and royal artefacts. The building style of the palace is a beautiful blend of Mughal and Rajasthani styles. After looking around the palace, you should visit the nearby Jantar Mantar, which is an astronomical telescope that houses some pretty cool instruments.
At the end of the day, go to a local restaurant and eat traditional Rajasthani food. You can eat many things like Dal Baati Churma, Gatte Ki Sabzi and Laal Maas. In Jaipur, spend the night at a hotel.
Day 2: Explore Amer Fort and Return to Delhi
Start your second day by visiting the Amer Fort, which is perched on a hilltop. This fort is a must-see for its splendid architecture, courtyards and mirror-lined rooms. You can take an elephant ride in front of the fort or climb up the stairs for a different experience.
After visiting the Amer Fort, stop at the Jal Mahal located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. Take some time to view the peaceful area and take photos.
Finally, end your trip by visiting one of the nearby shops like Johri Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar. You can buy jewellery, clothes and handmade items in these markets. After having a great time in Jaipur, start your journey to Delhi in the evening.
